I keep telling people that Cleveland is an awesome place to live…well except for that pesky snow thing. But I don’t want them to actually MOVE here because then it would be crowded awesomeness. They can come to visit though.

My Girlfriend has family in Cleveland and I’ve been hinting pretty hard lately that it is time to take a trip up there. This morning I was joking with her about running into you at “The Best Bar in the World” and buying you a drink. Then I sit down at my desk and read about your upcoming appearance with Thomas Keller. I am kind of crushed that I don’t think I can get up there for that but I figured I would take this opportunity to let you know how much I appreciate your writing, perspectives and contributions to the food world. As for Mr. Keller, I’ve only eaten at Bouchon in Las Vegas, but that glorious meal lives on like an eternal flame in my food obsessed brain.

Thank you sir. I’ll toast you for sure when I finally make it up to the Velvet Tango Room.

Well, blast. This weekend, we’re off to the City by the Bay for yumminess at A16, Loila, and Bar Tartine. As much as I adore you, I’m going for the food. I know you’ll understand.

I do wish I could see Mr. Keller, though. Bouchon is one of my favorite places in the world. Sigh.
